Re: Hosepipe Ban

Perhaps if they stopped the leaks in the pipeworts they wouldn't dry up so fast

Re: Hosepipe Ban

It's very odd to see the weather forecasters getting excited about rain.

Re: Hosepipe Ban

I don't have a hosepipe, I cant fit one on my garden tap so my watering is done with buckets and a watering can, time-consuming but good exercise.

I am concerned about the farm animals, there is no grass in the parched fields just brown stubble.

Good point Meg. I hadn't thought of that.

Surely, you just need the appropriate attachment. They're easily obtained and cheap.

Hosepipe bans aside, it would save you a lot of effort.

JB the mixer tap in the kitchen is old fragile and needs replacing. It will break altogether if I fix a hose to it. I won't pay to have a tap put outside, it isn't an essential expense.
I may eventually replace the tap in the kitchen but I don't like people working in the house and invading my space

I manage fine with a watering can , it is quite therapeutic particularly if I do breathing exercises at the same time as doing the watering.
