Sundays

I love my Sundays.

Do you make Sundays a bit more special than other days of the week?

Do you have a lay-in with a cup of tea and the newspaper?
Or do you have a full English, then a proper Sunday roast later? Do you do the 'traditional' Sunday jobs like cutting the grass, and washing the car, and visiting relatives?

Or are Sundays just another day to you?

Re: Sundays

Er; got home from work at 03:45 this morn and will return at 16:30. Although I'm currently enjoying a cold bottle of Becks before lunch!

Re: Sundays

Just another day for us really apart from the Sunday roast.
We enjoy Monday to Friday when its quieter I don't mean that in a nasty way, when both of us worked we longed for the weekends. Now we enjoy peace and quiet.

Had a breakfast cum lunch at local Wetherspoons then home ...doing nothing for rest of the day ,think my sis will be coming round later for a quick coffee

Re: Sundays

Sunday is the day I "try" to catch up on the housework, I never seem to be in the rest of the week. It doesn't always happen though sometimes it's one of the Sunday markets, or lunch with friends or an event somewhere.

Re: Sundays

Just another day here - unless you live in Gardenstown. As far as I'm aware, there never have been 'Sunday trading hours' as such here, so many shops are open fairly normal hours (Tesco is open 8am-8pm)

I've got a lot of work to do outside, so if the weather is good, I'll be in the garden.

One concession to Sunday is that we have a more 'formal' dinner at the table, with wine etc..

Re: Sundays

Sundays means bacon sarnies for breakfast and no gardening. We usually go for a walk in the afternoon but the weather is a bit iffy today.

Re: Sundays

I love a lie in on a Sunday, but generally don't like the "atmosphere" on a Sunday. Hard to explain, but I know what I mean

Re: Sundays

I have never liked Sundays and can't really give a valid reason why.
