I worked in Islington for about 8 years and found it to be a place of two halves. There was the nice side, the lovely little pubs ans restaurants, the antique market ans some very trendy shops; then there was the horrible side, just up the road, huge council estates that simply bred trouble. It was a no go area then so I hate to think what it is like now.
