Out of Africa

Daily on TV, we see pitiful pictures of bind children, children with clefts,
Tiny children walking miles to fetch infested water for drinking, and Charities asking for small donations of £2.00 per month
Mainly in Africa, and women holding dying starving babies looking like skeletons
but their mothers look well fed and well dressed complete with jewellery!
Are they not taught how to feed their babies?
Why can’t the D f I D Foreign Aid Dept help these Charities as well as providing the Dictators with the means of, building Mansions, private Airplanes, Millions in Offshore Accounts, and Property in the best parts of London
Yes, it is true that Foreign Aid does lots of good work to help needy people, e but huge amounts are squandered as well by it going to the wrong people who do not need it.
Apparently each year they do not know who to give their annual allowances to.

Much of it could be spent wisely in this Country where it is desperately needed.

Re: Out of Africa

Wow ! That's a big one Azure.

A couple of us were talking about this last night. That is, about the water situation in Africa. Water Aid have been going for donkey's years , since 1980/1. but we never hear of results . So now I have just had a little search and found this.

Obviously making improvements along the way but considering the amount poured into these charities we would maybe expect more.

The tribes lead a different way of life, and I don't think we should be trying to change it for them. They have survived for eternity, so are quite adept at knowing how and what to get where.

The Maasai have ewater in certain villages as you can see from the images and comments on this link.

They make their own jewellery and sell it.

Re: Out of Africa

Thank you Puddle Duck

Wonderful pictures

I would gladly support any Charity to prevent all those children dying daily, through lack of clean water.
