Bells Palsy

I have all of a sudden developed Bells Palsy.
Saturday evening nothing wrong with me, I woke up Sunday morning went into the Bathroom and my mouth has dropped down on one side of my face, looking like I've had a stroke.
My eyes are really sore and watery, I have pains in my head, neck and back of my ear.

If I drink the fluid just escapes down my chin.

I looked it up on the Internet and I have all the symptons, they say it can happen all of a sudden within 2 hrs.

So off to the Doctors tomorrow morning.

Re: Bells Palsy

It can happen at any age too. I worked with a 19 year old who had it.

Hope you recover soon Susie. It is normally temporary.

Re: Bells Palsy

Good luck Susie and please don't worry till you get a confirmed diagnosis. If you have got Bells Palsy it may take a few weeks to heal, but most people do heal!

Re: Bells Palsy

I too worked with a teenager who got it.

She was mortified but tbh it was barely noticeable within a week and totally cleared within a couple

Hope it clears soon x

Re: Bells Palsy

Mrs Mart had it many years ago. She was put on steroids and it went away completely after a few weeks. I hope yours clears up as quick or even more quickly than that.

Re: Bells Palsy

Sorry to hear that Susie, your doctor will be able to help you.

My FIL had Bells Palsy many years ago, his started not long after my MIL died so I think it can be connected to stress ... and I understand you have had a lot of stress what with one thing and another lately. I can't remember exactly what his treatment was but I know his face was back to normal in a few weeks.

Hope all goes well at the doctor's....
