what ideas for drivers? I know they want to fine the companies that lied about emissions and ban diesel, but anything else?

Re: Vote Green?

They have some noble ideas but how do you phase out fossil fuels and nuclear energy and get everyone on renewable energy .... and at what cost?

If they had their way only vehicles on the roads would be bicycles and electric buses.

That's what has always put me off the Greens, they don't seem to understand living in the real World. It's one thing banning cars but then how would we get to all the out of town shops which have come about due to all the parking restrictions? I understand their concerns about pollution but if they ever got in power, we would be the only Country in the World worrying about it.

That's it exactly they don't understand the need to get to work or deliver things or as you say go shopping. All made possible for many by having a car.

Re: Vote Green?

Hi

There are two things I like about the Greens.

Firstly, Animal Welfare, we can do so much more at minimal cost, we should be doing so.

Secondly, Green Energy.

We have some of the biggest tidal ranges in the world and some of the best places for offshore windfarms.

We could become totally energy self sufficient within 10 years.

Nuclear, we do not need.

Hinckley is a French and Chinese thing, £16 Billion and we have to pay 3 times the current rate for electricity from it.

Dump HS2 and spend the money on renewables and we are quids in.

Unlimited Immigration and even more Foreign Aid?

No thanks.

A four day week? CRAZY!!!! I am in favour of more renewable energy and protection of green spaces, but where is the money coming from for the rest?

Anne darlin' - it just so happens that Caroline Lucas is the MP for Brighton Pavilion - the constituency I happen to live in, and yes I do know Caroline personally.
