Canon Camera Repair

I have had a Canon Powershot G16 camera for about 5 years which is very good (in my opinion) but it has been playing up lately - It resulted in me taking an even older crap camera on holiday with me.

Still takes excellent photos but some of its features have become unavailable, personally I suspect a bad connection in the Auto/P/SCN etc knob but don't know as I not game to take it to pieces.

Anyway I rang Canon to see about getting it repaired I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is a fixed fee of $207 (~£100) so it will be going off by courier to their repair place in Sydney this afternoon.



I must admit I hate it when things go wrong but I like this camera and I did briefly consider buying a much newer G5X or G7X but the battery life on these is far less and I would prefer to keep this camera if I can get it repaired properly.

We shall see.
