Briswool (knitted Bristol) exhibition.

An exhibition of knitting skills that re-created the fair city of Bristol in wool. I've added comments where I can remember what I was looking at.

Clifton Suspension Bridge. The Pump House was originally used to keep the level in Cumberland Basin and the docks lever. It's now a pub, so still being used to move fluids around.

SS Great Britain in the middle.

The Downs in the foreground with Observatory in grey behind.

General view along the docks from the West.

The Avon gorge. Note the crocagators in the river. One was once allegedly seen there.

Brandon hill and Cabot Tower.

College Green with the curved council building, and Cathedral adjacent.

I can't remember, but just look at the detail on that building.

Ferry. Note the knitted Gromit on the bow, from the original Gromit unleashed display.

Saint Mary Redcliffe. Pronounced, Ssmaryredcliffe.

Another Gromit outside Ssmaryredcliffe.

The houses in that area really are painted different colours. Cabot Tower again and the University Tower to the right.

The Balloon Festival. Of more importance is my Aunty/MiL taking pictures with the pink tablet.

A few of the balloons.

Cathedral in the foreground, the multicoloured houses of Totterdown in front of the arch.

Former Shot Tower, for making lead shot. Now part of an office complex with a board room at the top.

In the foreground, a working steam crane, steam train, and replica of the Mathew that took John Cabot to Newfoundland in 1497.

These photos have just been much admired by Mrs mart (knits jumpers and other items). She says those who knitted all that are just so clever.

Thanks for posting them.
