Have you ever been called an old fogey?

I was yesterday in the shop below, a schoolboy said to the shopkeeper, "serve this old fogey first". But he had a wry grin on his face and I suspect he was simply being polite as I had only one item to buy.

At what age does one become an old fogey, anyway?

Not an old fogey but my daughter joking calls me an old codger

I think youngsters think of us as old fogeys when we get to 50 ish. Trouble is you can't give 'em a clip around the ear anymore

That seems unfair...I'd like vengeance for all the clips on the ear I got when young.

I remember receiving corporal punishment in school - strange to think that was 1978 only a few years before it was abolished. But I digress....back to old fogeys.

Somebody said that you would grow up stupid with too many knocks on the head, well as I was growing up I had loads of 'Clip round the ears' and it hasn't done me any harm....
