Listening to David gates

Was listening to David gates cd last night I can't think of any singer used words so well. All the bread songs plus some of his own. Really lovely voice too. Anyone else a bread or David gates fan ?

And yes, I love Bread and David Gates, especially 'The Guitar Man' another one which would make up my all time top twenty...

Just seen this thread. Yes favourite group of all time. Wonderful songs with marvellous lyrics and meaning. Was fortunate to see David Gates on tour in Manchester some years ago. I grew up with their music and it got me through some tough times.

Yes I liked Bread too, I think if you see bands live you appreciate their music more. I love seeing bands play live especially as Julie says if they write their own material too.

Going with OGF on this one, Julie. Guitar Man is easily my favourite song by Bread. Gates was an underrated songwriter.
