Nom, you could still join up with re-enactors they don't all rush about with weapons drawn.I have quite a few friends who do it that aren't very mobile they do the casualties, nurses, peasants etc. or you could be a General they didn't do much except give orders.Glad some of you listened to it on the radio, unfortunately I had to go out but, will try to find it on line.
Steampunk is great fun and embraces all. I've seen some super mobility scooters and wheelchairs and brilliant "inventions" such as proton back packs, weird weapons, wings and alsorts of costumes.

Just listened to it!We're much more eccentric! Liked the gin bustle, but, mine would have tea in it!
She didn't have a lot of time to really do the subject justice.
A bit more H.G.Wells, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Jules Verne would have been nice.
Yes, we are a creative bunch!

Yes she did manage to put over the great social and community atmosphere that seems to exist at the events. Something i was not aware of.But it must be a great place to find that elusive bearded one. Are you really looking or just toying with the boys affections.

I seek him here, I seek him there, I never find him anywhere!Lots of them about but sadly always taken by some floozy in a bustle!
Anyone interested can join The British Steampunk Community on FB, there you will be astounded by our creativity, costumes and eccentric banter. Loads of photos!
Lots of local groups too, I run one in my area, small but perfectly formed.
Some of you guys may get a little excited by the corsetry and experience an attack of the vapours so be brave!(As will the ladies with the beards)
