I am always in favour of talented folk who plough their own artistic furrow.
Heard this on The Freak Zone a few years ago and was mightily impressed. As Stuart Maconie said of it, this is the most accessible song on the album (Tilt)...

Apricot he died aged 67 in 2011. Actually John had quite a good voice not in the league of Scott of course but when Scott opted out after a few years John toured solo mainly singing Walker Brothers hit songs.

Haunting but great.
I believe the great Morrissey made a record about Pasolini as well but I can't think of the title at the moment. I'll dig it out of youtube.

Scott Walker brought the songs of Brel to the British people and other musicians. Nobody does them better, and it is irritating when people claim other versions are superior. Take Next for example. Ludicrously they claim Alex Harvey's version is better.
