Eclipse in the US

Without a lens, the eclipse is too bright to see, and the solar lens on my telescope really doesn't do it justice. The answer? Just wait (and wait, and wait, ) for the cumulus clouds to filter out the brightest rays.

Re: Eclipse in the US

I saw this on the news today Surfermom.
Amazing isn't it.

They said the temperature drops, the birds start going to bed, and even flowers close up.
I can't remember when they said the next one will be, but it's a long, long time.

I remember the last time we had a partial eclipse and even then the silence was eerie

Yes, and I am pretty sure that on the day of the eclipse, women are not supposed to cook meals, clearn, run errands...

It was a bit eerie...the lighting was ao interesting.

As far as my Ex was concerned there must have been an eclipse every day.

Hummmph! not that we are the slightest bit jealous that you had a total solar eclipse while we have to wait until 2028.

I remember that too ruthio. A very strange silence and odd light. I was quite envious of those who saw the total eclipse. I just hope they appreciated the silence and didn't start cheering and clapping.
