Acorns

yes we again this year have already picked up 4/5 very large industrial plastic backs full enough to be heavy to lift. Supposed with 4 massive oak tree (protected TPO) one can't expect much else.
The fun time is when they shed their leafs

Re: Acorns

I'm sitting here listening to them crashing out of the tree at the back. They seem bigger and louder this year.

Re: Acorns

What do you do with all the acorns, Bazza?

I haven't collected any acorns, but I got a bag full of smashing conkers last week.

Pigs would enjoy eating the acorns.

Re: Acorns

Pippa our elderly Jack Russell is a devil for eating acorns and they are poisonous to dogs. We have to put a muzzle on her to take her out for her walk. She hates it and hides when she sees it and once it's on its a job getting her out of the door. Thankfully we don't have any in our garden and neither do our neighbours. I was going to put a picture of her on here but I can't work out how to do it.

Re: Acorns

I got hit on the head twice on Sunday walking through the forest. The second one stung a bit.
