Whiter Chips

The EU has announced another one.

When going to the Chip shop they have now got to serve you up Pale colour Chips, not to be golden for Health reasons.

There is sound scientific evidence for this.

However, you would need to eat a Kilo of chips everyday for 27 years to be affected by it, unless you are one of the tiny fraction of the population who are genetically predisposed to being affected.

A warning, yes, a rule no.

I love my chips, homemade, crisp and crunchy.

Even a chip lover like me would find it impossible to eat over a kilo a day.

You are more at risk from carcinogens living in London and breathing the air than you are from eating chips.

Ye gods can there be nothing sacred from the food fascists, I just wonder if they ever take notice of themselves for they must get no pleasure at all from their food if they do....

I'll just go with that old maxim as I always do, "all things in moderation"

I thought the ruling was for potato crisps not chips I could be wrong though. Either way I wonder how long it took officials on massive salaries to come up with that one, bless em!

I don't recall ever seeing golden chips in a chippy. Perhaps in a posh one they are less anaemic.
