But I am just cynical

Hopefully those photos may give some idea of what one uses when taking photos. Not so much look what I have got more like what I find helpful with my hobby. Also maybe give some idea of what may help others in deciding what to get

yes D800 and D810 are FF cameras.

Ok why them? well having 36megapixels against ones with less does enable cropping a lot without picture loss. They also can change automatically to work with DX lenses depending on menu setting .

That’s bloody clever, I was thinking that the expense of buying yet another set of lens for an fx could be bloody expensive

Re: Nikon cameras on parade

Here are some Nikon bodies - taken in 2013 so it's a bit out of date. Got a few more now

Add the new D850 and old F100 and FG20.

Aye.

Then there's the 7 Fuji cameras - 4 digital and 3 film. Plus about 20 other film cameras

Re: Nikon cameras on parade

First introduction to Digital photography was a Kodak compact 2 MP camera to see what all this digital thing was like.
taken with the KODAK

battlement views from Warwick Castle

Used to work with film cameras before that.
wasn't long before I discovered that cameras limitations so bougth a Nikon D70s until I felt it was time to upgrade. Went to the Nikon D200 but tghat wasbattey heavy so upgraded to the D300 and then the d800 and now the D810 the last three in the photo
