Lovely! At the risk of sounding a bit dim, why do you have strings across your pond? Is it to stop birds?

No, all three water features in the garden are still running, but unless it warms up I shall cut the power this evening so nothing bursts.

Birds, especially herons, and foxes, hence the fence as well as the chains and strimmer line.

It looks so beautiful Fruitcake! Lovely if you can look at it from the warmth of your home - having to go out in these sub zero temperatures is another matter though.
