Gosh Annie, that brought back memories!
That must have been back in around 1962-ish?
I remember dancing to that song with my first ever boyfriend. I even remember he wore a pink shirt (quite adventurous in those days), and was singing his heart out as he danced! I can still 'see' it now.
I'll always remember that, bless him. He was a lovely lad.

My Dad didn't approve and stopped me seeing him. Dad didn't like his pink shirt either.
We wrote to each other for ages c/o my friend's address.
He eventually went away and joined the merchant navy, but still wrote to me whenever he could.
We were too young for a proper romance really, but you can't see that at the time can you, we were very fond of each other and he used to make me laugh.
Eventually it faded out and we both met other people and then married.
When my Mum died a couple of years ago, I found some old photo's and there were a couple of him from back when I knew him.
You can't help but wonder if those old flames ever think of you, can you. Someone told me he lives in Clacton now, but I've never seen him again.
Isn't it funny, how that song you posted took me back to all that again.
