Wow Ireland! Another piccy thread.

The next stage of our holiday in Eire having moved to Co Kerry.

The Family Fruity get taken for a ride, around the Killarney National Park in a Victorian style carriage.

Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty, striding towards Killarney cathedral. He helped to save thousands of people from the clutches of Italian Fascists during WW2.

The view from Ladies View on the Ring of Kerry, named after Queen Vic waited and viewed the view with her ladies in waiting.

One of the locals near our holiday cottage.

Looking up the spectacular Dunloe Gap.

Taken for a ride again, this time in a Jaunting Car pulled by a chap called Charlie. Although he looks used t having is picture taken, we couldn't get him to smile.

Starting the climb up the Gap.

At the top of the Gap, looking back.

Heading back down, and there are no brakes!

Torc Waterfall, just outside Killarney.

A beach on the Wild Atlantic Way (WAW). If you see a sign for it, or a WAW viewpoint, you should follow it.

Alfresco cooking. Put your clothes in, simmer or steam for an hour, then serve on a bed of underwear. I've never seen this before, but it appeared to be quite common.

A view of the Mild Atlantic Way.

An old sea dog, guarding the approaches of the Shannon Estuary.

Alongside the coast road. This reminded me of an Irish harp.

Heading for Dingle harbour.

One of the many small islands around the coast.

Valentia Island looking back to Portmagee on the mainland.

It's looking a bit wilder now.

A local Raven on his sentry post.

One of the many roadside waterfalls.

Racing home for a fish supper.

The harbour clock-tower of Knight's Town on Valentia island.

The Shannon Estuary, looking upstream.

... and looking seaward.

After this we moved on to Co Roscommon. More pics to follow.

Nice photos.
Brought back memories of a visit to Ireland with my second wife. Hired a car and toured round staying at b&bs

Went on one of those horse carriage rides and shared with a farmer and his wife who was having a day out.

Would recommend Ireland for short hols.
