Cheers all, i agree about the geese calling Pinkfeet are especially vocal its often the first i know they are coming.I once watched while the entire population of Barnacle geese from Svalbard migrated in a day to Caerlaverock in a single day, wave upon wave crossing the North sea.

Just like to say that Fogey did well starting this thread, over 120 species of birds recorded and shown so far, with great contributions from across the world.Its a popular subject and all the more amazing for the fact we are at the mercy of our avian visitors. Wild birds can be challenging photography subjects. Thanks to all that put up images for our enjoyment.
