Mr Bean warning.

Fake news posts claiming Rowan Atkinson has died are circulating on social media.

The latest posts emerged on Wednesday, July 18, but previous fake posts falsely reported that the Consett born Mr Bean star died in a car crash in Los Angeles, and have been widely shared on Facebook and Twitter.

Previous posts in July 2017 - which claimed to be from Fox News - were fake and reportedly linked to a scam website which could give your computer a virus.

Their headline reads: “FOX BREAKING NEWS: ‘Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson)’ died at 62 After Crashing his Car on Attempt perfecting a Stunt - Today July, 2017”.

Speaking of Mr Bean . . . .

I was listening to Classic FM the other day and the theme tune to Mr Bean came on, instantly recognisable of course. I glanced down at the screen and saw that it was called "Ecce Homo"

When I got home I looked that up and it becomes obvious why this music was chosen for the TV programme.
