Every time someone out in the street/at the vets, says Holly is cute/adorable/lovely.

Re: Compliments

In my 40s, we all went out to a club after work. As I was walking through an avenue of young ladies, I heard one of them say 'whooo, hello, he's mine'. It broke my heart explaining to her that I was already taken.

Re: Compliments

People are kind enough to tell me that I don't look my age. I don't have any wrinkles as yet, and my hair is more its natural colour than grey.

Is that pic of the beautiful child on your profile you Tara?
Wow!!!!

Who needs wrinkles, most especially in stockings.

Some folks never go grey, my Mum, and my Grandma didn't.

Re: Compliments

I am not a great fan of giving or receiving compliments. if I give one you can be sure it is genuinely meant.
I feel many compliments aren't sincerely meant and you can soon spot the ones which aren't because some people do it all the time even with people they barely know or haven't even met .

One of the nicest compliments I have had was while working in a nursing home as a night auxiliary night nurse . I popped my head around a patients door and asked him if he was ok. he replied 'I am now I have seen your face' .
