I'm with you on that Jackie, over here the folks that voted against Brexit seem to be doing all in their power to thwart it in a desperate bid to be proven right. It appears to them that that anyone that wanted their independence from a foreign unelected arrogant elite was incredibly stupid and shouldn't have been allowed a vote in the first place. This is just having the effect of increasing the bad feeling and is bringing the country down, when we should all be getting behind the democratic process and trying to make a success of our brave new world.

I hope America has a better attitude and gives the new President a fair chance.

Thanks for your post LMB. I was listening to reports from the USA this morning, about the protests there. Many people are angry about the result but all I heard was their anger, yet no valid reasons why they objected to him being president.... once again people objecting to the result of a democratic vote!
This is the problem with having to vote in such a large country, where different areas want different things!
I believe that the same would happen here, in time, if BREXIT isn't acted upon, and although it probably wont happen in our time, huge areas being controlled by one government, will result in massive civil unrest... which will be left to the next generation

Yet another nation divided.

Two massively wealthy Californians have set up a new political movement for California to leave the USA.

It will be interesting to see what will happen now with NATO, Trump stated that the USA will not defend those Countries who do not put the agreed funding into NATO

The UK and Poland do, France and Germany do not.

Trump has a point, he does not see why France , Germany and others are free loading.

Yes. It's on the news now and, surprise surprise, the protesters are all of a type: rainbow flags, young people who want to put the world to rights, young men with beards (yes, I have one!), young women with loudhailers as if their voices aren't strident enough without!

I'm sure there must be some trendy lefty luvvies waiting for the TV cameras somewhere in the background too.

Exactly the same as the Brexit remainiacs.

Several observers have commented on the similarity between Trump's election and The Referendum result, meaning that they are both protests against the Establishment

But I've seen the news reports of protests in several US cities, so there's another similarity
The losers won't accept the decision, and are moaning like hell. In that, they are showing the usual dual standards of the middle class, liberal left - we believe in democracy, as long as we get our own way

I am no great fan of Trump (I can never forgive him for his Scottish golf course) but I'm willing to give him a chance

Somewhere in the massive news coverage there was a comment - you might not like Donald Trump, but you must agree that he's not stupid

With a bit of luck we won't have to listen to Hilary Clinton's awful screeching voice any more

Can't see what all the fuss is about, I like some of his policies.
(1) Man made Global Warming is a con......Yes
(2) He wants to stop ILLEGAL Immigrants entering the USA...Yes
(3) He wants to provide work for the coal industry......Yes
(4) He wants more stuff made in America instead of shipping it in from elsewhere (well China)......Yes
(5) He certainly does not want to put Britain at the bottom of the list for trade deals like that snake Obama did......Yes
Can he come over here and show Theresa how it's done....I think she needs to get her finger out!
