I've been looking forward too
And yesterday I "did" Chester

I was so cold by the time I got in that I didn't warm up until I went to bed.... at 9 o'clock!

Today I'm "doing" warm drinks and daytime tv while the wind is whipping the freezing rain against the windows

Not quite what I had planned but maybe the weather will improve

I know Vaniy, but the British come over with the kids at half term, I´ve seen more than a few today.

Not half term here for another six weeks, but it is Fat Tuesday, so schools are out for two days. There is a lot of carnival type celebration going on right now - dozens of parades, balls, and plenty of gluttony that precedes Ash Wednesday (tomorrow) and lent.

And it's finally 71.1C

People have their hands up hoping to catch beads and moonpies thrown from the revellers on the floats:

My visiting pommie brother has flown up to Cairns this morning to do some diving on the Barrier Reef. I told him not to take a jacket.
