Yeah about 25 years ago I lent my home made roller (20/30 litre drum filled with concrete and welded handle) to someone then forgot a) that I had lent it and b) who to. I never saw it again.

I gave my heart to a girl.....after she broke it she gave it back.

I was heartbroken......you don't really get over that sort of thing...especially as I was only 6 y/o

That's so cute Tpin especially as my little five year old grandson got two Valentines cards today....one is from a little girl called Grace who he has declared he LOVES! The other is a mystery (his mum )

A basic but easy to use can opener to her next door. I had to buy a replacement.

She also used to borrow my meter cupboard key and I'd fret till it was returned. When I stopped talking to her for many months over the allotment plot, she could no longer ask, and still doesn't, so I hope after all these years she finally has her own. That is an object I cannot afford to lose.
