There's a far easier (and tastier) way of dealing with constipation (brought on by the combination of meds you've been prescribed - been there, done that bougfht the 'T' shirt).

Get yourself a punnet of plums and munch your way through them (2 - 3 per day should be sufficient). In season later in the year, get a regular supply of Nectarines and get used to eating 1 -2 per day EVERY day!!!

If you are mathematically minded you could always work it out with a pencil.

Re: Constipation

My elderly 92 year old Aunt used to swear by half a large orange every morning with her breakfast to keep her regular. I used to take them in to her Nursing Home every week

Re: Constipation

I've had a loose watery movement, but that's progress. I think it's the extra laxitose or senna tablets I took this morning.

Thanks for the nectarine tip - I love them, figs too.

Re: Constipation

For more long term effect, I would suggest lots of olive oil in cooking and dressings.

Re: Constipation

Our bodies need lubricating just like a car, to keep all our parts working. Not the bad oil, get good oil into your system every day. (after you clear that blockage)

Yes, that's one of the main ones: I've been advised to take even more of it (up to 7 sachets a day) by a clinical nurse today.

Tonight I'll take 2 more of those (5 today?) plus my senna and another liquid based laxative.

Although my mindset has now shifted from my constipation to the biopsy result I'll get on Thursday - not enough to lose me any sleep, just another bridge to be crossed.
