Re: Syrian War

So much for the cease fire there has been shelling and fighting today and 22 people have been killed.

Re: Syrian War

Just too many sides to call one I think. Many aren't in contact with each other it's fighting for sake of it I'm sure.

Re: Syrian War

The ceasefire wasn't applicable to the terrorists. So they continue.
Tonight it's reported that five terrorist groups have created a Joint Command Center in East Ghouta . They are not likely to stop, well i.e. not until they are obliterated.

Did anyone watch the 2nd video I posted by Tom Duggan ? His report was 2/3 days ago. In it he said that the White Helmets had despatched a supply of gas masks to East Ghouta, so no doubt there would be a cry in the coming days of a chemical attack on East Ghouta . Today they are saying there's been a chemical attack ! Very strange how those who live there knew to get a supply of gas masks in time !

Re: Syrian War

For the second day, terrorists in #Ghouta target with shells safe corridor for evacuating civilians

Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and groups affiliated to them fired 6 rocket shells at the safe corridor set up near al-Wafidin Camp to evacuate civilians from Ghouta, SANA reporter said.

A truce began at 9 am on Wednesday morning to allow the evacuation of civilians willing to leave Ghouta area in Damascus Countryside, after terrorists prevented them from leaving on Tuesday.

Earlier today, SANA’s reporter said that the terrorists are still preventing civilians from leaving for the second day in a row so they could use them as human shields.

Army units and the authorities made all preparations to receive civilians on Tuesday, with ambulances and transportation waiting at the designated crossing point to transport the evacuated persons to the makeshift center in al-Dweir in Damascus countryside, which is equipped with all the basic services.

A medical clinic affiliated to Damascus Countryside Health Directorate and Russian medical points are ready to provide medical treatment for the evacuated persons from Ghouta, the reporter added.

In turn, head of the makeshift center, Ibrahim Hassoun, said that the school located inside the center is ready to receive the sons of al-Ghouta area.

During the truce period on Tuesday, terrorists fired shells at the safe corridor several times to prevent civilians from leaving, and they also fired shells at Damascus and its countryside, claiming the life of one civilian and injuring 17 others.

On February 2017, the #Syrian_Arab_Army has set a safe passage for the exit of civilians from al-Ghouta, but the terrorist groups prevented them from leaving in order to continue using them as human shields and robbing the humanitarian aid that is being delivered to them under the supervision of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC).

Re: Syrian War

I think you'll find that Assad was voted into Government by his people. It is not and never has been a 'regime', which USA continues to refer to.

Natural Gas and Oil are the issues. A natural gas pipeline to go through Syria to Turkey, and on to Europe, will be disastrous for the Russians and Iranians.

Hi

My favourite word, Bollocks.

Syria was a good place to live before we interfered.

Religious freedom, Christians protected and Radical Muslims hunted down.

Assad simply killed ISIS.

Yes it would, It would mean that Russia wouldn't be able to put the EU in the same position as the Ukraine when they turned the taps of in mid winter.

As for the puppet regime, yes, Assad was elected but that was then. now he is under obligation to the Russians and under their control. Therefore he is a puppet.

We didn't interfere. In fact we went out of our way not to do so The flare up was cause by an authoritarian government and a population sick of bowing and scraping inspired by the Arab Spring.
