Thank you Mags.

We divorced many years ago, but always stayed good friends.
I have written him a letter, sealed it in a small envelope, and intend to bury it under the roots of his rose.

I couldn't get to his funeral as it was over 300 miles away, but this way I shall feel I have said bye bye.

I agree. The garden centre we go to is quite large and probably the largest in the whole area but I don't think their plants are that good. We have started looking at other centres now and might even pay David Austin a visit next year.
