Re: Exhausted

I felt very tired for a couple of months sometime after my chemo had ended but, as others have said, perhaps you're doing a bit too much.

I do hope you feel better soon.

Precisely Julie darlin', you're still recovering and therefore your body needs time and rest to do so!!!

...by saying I can't do so much today, I must rest and leave things for another day.

Julie you think you are recovering well from Cancer and I sincerely hope you are but you can't fight a successful battle on more than one front. Give you body time to finishing fighting one battle and to get strong again..
..Rest when you have too, the family will understand,
..Eat healthily.
..Have at least 7 hours of sleep at night.
No excuses, better a reduced Julie than no Julie at all

Re: Exhausted

Julie you know that I also went through cancer & chemo and I can honestly say that it took me about 2 years before I felt back to normal.
During that time, if I felt tired in the day I had a nap, and didn't do all the jobs I wanted to....I just did what I felt able to do. Your family want you with them for as long as possible, and I doubt any of them will leave home because you haven't vacuumed the carpet....so take what rest you need!

Re: Exhausted

Agree with the others, you need rest, take it

So what if the house needs dusting or the clothes need ironing? None of that matters, your world won't fall down around your ears, but it will if you don't look after yourself

Yourself first
Then family
Then work and chores

You can't run on empty forever

Re: Exhausted

I'm being good today just the basics Nathan has been a star and done the bathroom because he knows that bothers me, and is dashing out later with Elsie and Jenny for me, so all I need is a little wander round the block for Betty to get some fresh air.

Re: Exhausted

Julie, you will know better than I do that we have to listen to our bodies. I’m relatively new to the chemo and find that tiredness is one of the main side effects. But I’m much older than you and retired as is my hubby so I can rest when I need. Do try not to overdo it Julie, save your strength for the things you enjoy doing.

You shouldn't be at work Julie.
