I was diagnosed with Chronic constipation and was prescribed Normacol. Revolting granules to be taken with quantities of water each morning, But I kept with it for a long time, until I saw an old fashioned GP for a prescription renewal, and he told me it was unnecessary, and I'd much better take bran every day, so I have ever since mixed with porridge for breakfast. I do also eat dried prunes because I really like them, and have an apple and orange at lunch, as well as stewed apples in the evening. I am never constipated now. But don't have any medication that might cause it

I think my constipation is finally over, thank goodness. I've been twice today so obviously the concoctions of laxatives plus some apricots on my Alpen this morning has worked.

Well, my constipation has about turned, going the other way, but it is a relief.

Cut down on the plums or Nectarines you're eating !!!

Yes, my G.P. was saying today that eventually my tummy will settle. It's never been quite as settled, though, prior to my pancreatitis in 2014.
