I have a word site with oodles of old words including dialect and slang words.
During the week I post a daily word quiz, and wondered if anybody would be interested in it if I posted it here.
The words aren't easy, but you get choices for the answers, and you just might learn a new word!
Anyway, enough nattering - here's the first one.

1. HACK-STOCK (a1500 obs.)
a) cattle being sold at auction
b) beef broth
c) cutlery
d) a chopping-block

And a wee riddle:
