I still have a collection of banknotes printed in the 1920's when inflation was sky high. I scanned this one. Probably would have bought a loaf of bread or a few eggs at the time.

I'm staying at someone's home at the moment who seems to think food was vastly improved in taste a few years back looking at the sell-by date on some of it.
