I am interested in how many conscripted soldiers do you know -there are very few conscripted armies in the world.
There are many like Israel that have national service but this does not have to be in the army .
National service can be done in a none combatant option such as working in hospitals or other public service .
However the primary duty of any soldier is to defend the nation .

A timely reminder of what these current Right of Return demonstrations are about.The Palestinians have always demanded, along with sovereignty in the West Bank, Gaza, East Jerusalem and the Old City, a “right of return” to Israel for Palestinian refugees who left or were forced out of Israel when it was established.
No Israeli government would ever be likely to accept this demand, since it would spell the end of Israel as a Jewish-majority state.

They can't return to where they never were .
This is just a pretext to eradicate Israel by Hamas and whoever pays them
It's not going to happen
They could have made Gaza a thriving prosperous nation but they choose and still do chose to waste the billionas in aid they receive in waging war on Israel.

Most of the citizens of Israel were not born 70 years ago either ...yet it doesn't prevent them remaining where they never were until they pushed out those who were there before them... who now wish to return to their father's land.
Is it all about squatter's right?
Some of the support for Israel, exclusively Israel to the point of a total callous disregard for other's welfare beggars belief. It is emotive, poorly thought out, if thought out at all .. and is a catalyst for breeding more hatred.
