The winters seem to be mild enough here for dahlia to survive in the ground. I am terrible with plant names, I have lost the plant labels over the years, my favourites which propagate from each year are the ones overwintering in the greenhouse. G
You haven't got an April Heather by any chance have you Rehab?
That’s nice, never seen those before...copper leaves?
Not so keen on that last one, if you don't mind me saying, Rehab.
The dark ones vary a little between black, and very dark green usually.
All the 'Bishop' series are dark leaf. 'Llandoff' is the one I've had for a few years, but thinking of getting some others this year.
I'm not keen on the pom-pom ones.

My s-i-l is a dahlia judge and chairman of a society. He grows all his show dahlias from plantlets cut from his original tuber stock, then throws the tubers away
