Defrosting the fridge/freezer

Anyone else hate this job?
I do, but i`ll have to get it done before we put xmas food in it !

Mine are supposed to be self-defrosting, but sometimes the freezer door doesn't close properly and I get a glacier.
I hate the job - at least in theory. Maybe it's not quite so bad once you actually get down to it?

Yes, I put it off and put it off and then it is a huge task and takes for ever.

I am seriously considering trying to get a self defrosting one! Bliss.

Defrosting the freezer is the one job I put off too! But I did tackle the chest freezer yesterday. Mine is in the out-house and it was soooo cold out there yesterday......I had my coat, scarf and hat on whilst chipping away at the ice It wasn't too bad once I'd taken all the food out.....I used a hairdryer to loosen the ice and it scraped off quite quickly. Got a bit of a bad back today though after all the bending.

This is my hate job........seems to take forever probably because I don't defrost it often enough Keep waiting for my fridge/freezer to give up the ghost so that I can get a self-defrosting one but it just keeps trundling on........

I tried to be clever and got one of those auto-defrosting ones... not sure if it works tho

I seem to be cleverer - got my hubby to do it tomorrow

I use my steam cleaner. Does the job in half the time,still a boring job though.

One of these does the job in no time.
