What about covertly swiping a tenner of the pavement?

Why do you think I do my yoga Mort? It is to stay flexible, so I can bend over and swipe money off the pavement quicker than the eye can see.

That's a comforting though Floydy ...
It's made me wonder where all the notes I have have been before I got them.
I can see me now .. wiping these new plastic fivers and tenners down with anti-bacterial spray and lining them up on the draining board to dry.

I'm pretty nifty myself, even on a windy day ..as it was once when I spotted a tenner.

Aren't we supposed to able to wash them now?
Not sure if I'd risk washing a £50 note though.

We are ... but I'd never get a full load.

"Aren't we supposed to able to wash them now?"

Don't you know that money laundering is a serious offence?

Nor inflation proof Judd ... people are reported to be shrinking them in the wash and devaluing the pound.

Re: What is the smallest amount of money you would pick up off the footpath?

I once saw a £2 coin on the floor in a busy pub and stood on it until I saw a chance of picking it up. I was standing there quite a while and decided to drop a 50p coin to make it look not so conspicuous, and then pick up both.
So I made a gesture that I'd dropped 50p and bent down to pick it up along with the £2 under my shoe. As I did so, somebody walked in front of me and knocked my beer from my hand. As he was saying sorry and went to get me a new pint, I looked down and both coins had disappeared.
I just hoped that they ended up with a urine-based disease.

Aahh... the old knock the beer out of your hand trick as favoured by Lancastrians.

A penny, nickel, dime....I pick them all up. We have a loose change jar and when it fills, we donate it to a local animal shelter.

So, if a dog has urniated* on it, I guess that keeps it in the family somehow

*I never worry about change but sometimes I do wonder how many g-strings or sweaty bathing suits those dollar bills have been tucked into. Ewww.
