A train fillum

Harking back to the silent movies of yesteryear here is a train movie I took last week



It is so long cinemascope couldn't do it justice.

Notice how dry the landscape is central NSW is desperate for rain.

That was one very long train Bruce , I dont think ive seen one that long go by , We tend to get the goods train now and again , the track is at the bottom of the road i live on , you tend to hear them coming in the night before they reach us ..

That is not the longest Australian train by any means. From memory the longest is an iron ore train something like 8km long which set a world record. I don't think it has been repeated it was a test run for the synchronisation of something like 8 locos - or at least that is my memory.

I found a Youtube video about the world's longest train while that went past you could have a picnic. It was 7.3 km long so I was a bit off.



It went to Port Hedland last year. You can see my visit to Port Hedland here:
