Rich house, poor house

Did anyone else watch this last night?

I was in tears at the end. A lovely gesture from the richer family.

I love this series it often ends with a kind gesture and always ends with people realising how lucky they are.

Re: Rich house, poor house

You couldn't help liking each family, I thought. Especially as the richer man (forget their names) was in tears, knowing that the other one would be coming back home to their life of just about managing.

I do wonder, though, does each family give up their own 'budget' willingly, or does the programme maker provide it? Because the poorer family are out spending it on clothes and restaurant meals as treats. What about any money left over? Where does that go?

(I have too many questions...)
