Re: I've had my chest x-ray

They're still saying that the chemo didn't necessarily cause the infection. What? Twice in a row and a few hours between the end of chemo and the start of the infection?

I'm feeling rough as anything but my vitals have improved. I'm finally off the drip and the catheter. I've got no problems eating or sleeping. I just dread going home, perhaps in a few days only for the exact thing to happen again.

I've got an MRI at noon - nothing to so with my current infection, but to see how things stand cancer -wise. I really don't want to go but as an in patient they will give me plenty of diazepam and liquid morphine. The original appt was for today at 6:20 pm so I'll save around £25 in Taxi fares.

I'm not happy though, having to get life saving treatment hours after I've had chemotherapy twice in 2 weeks.

Oh Dreamy thank you for the update.
It must be a nightmare for you.
Stay positive, I am rooting for you.
On top of feeling dreadful, you have this heat!
I will check on you later. X

Good to hear from you Ffosse. And glad things are improving. Try not to anticipate too much. One little step at a time...

I don't feel any better though. Having a shower this morning really took it out of me....I was exhausted afterwards?

Be a patient patient...give it a little more time. I know it's hugely frustrating, but the chemo effect will still be there so that's part of the fatigue too.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

I'm just extremely tired and fed up with the whole thing. They don't even know what type of infections I have so how is any treatment going to be a success? I really am at my lowest point presently.

On top of all that, the MRI showed a mass which they don't know what it is either. They want to do a PET SCAN in about a month if I'm still alive.

I genuinely don't believe my team understand what I am going through, despite my going into enough detail. I'm not posting on this forum for a few months, either

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Ffosse, I fully understand you are going through a lot at the moment, but they will get to the bottom of it with the scans. Is a PET scan the same as a CT scan? I wonder why they can’t do it earlier. I’m at a low ebb too at the moment but we have to try to stay positive.
