Toilet roll dust

Ok, I realise this thread will end up in the cheeky chat but lets see if we can get a couple of genuine answers in first.

We have noticed over the past couple of years that we are constantly finding little shreds of toilet paper all over the house but mainly in the bathroom. Like little twisted bits. Also, the bathroom seems dustier than it used to be.

After a quick Google, I found that others were experiencing the same thing and that the brand determines how much dust/shreds you get. We were using those quilted things but have recently changed to a normal one but it hasn't helped.

So is anyone else having this problem?

No, Dongles, can't say that I have. It's Andrex in this house and it seems to be dust free.

Re: Toilet roll dust

I use Tesco Luxury Soft bog roll and no dust or bits coming off them.

And the holder is floor standing and sits directly in front of the radiator.

Re: Toilet roll dust

My Auntie had to have a plumber in a while back..
And he said that people ought to avoid quilted at all costs as it swells up and blocks drains

I notice our bathroom gets dustier at times but i never put it down to the loo paper
I thought it was just people and towel dust

Ugh!

I definitely have to clean it more often

Re: Toilet roll dust

I haven't noticed any dust either and i use quilted toilet rolls.

Dongles, are you sure your wife is not doing the dusting, but rather sitting back enjoying herself? I do hope so!

I seem to remember that there is a Dusty Bin for this sort of problem.
