Re: New Birth Card

Thank you, Meg, apparently they are starting a 'memory box' for her. What do people do with these boxes? Do they keep them themselves or give them to the child when he/she is grown up?

It is heading for Bristol on Saturday.

Re: New Birth Card

Are you going to present him with it? Would love to see his face if you do!

I think t is a lovely idea. I have nothing tangible from my childhood apart from an old plush tiger and a poem I wrote on my 5th birthday.

Edit: Just remembered my silver napkin ring - christening present from my godmother.

One day maybe along with lots of cards and love letters from his father whom he barely remembers.

Is the napkin ring inscribed ST people don't use them much these days which is a shame.

Yes, Meg, it is inscribed with my first name, date of birth and flowers/scrolls. It is very pretty. I liketo use it as it reminds me of my godmother - my lovely auntie Chriss - who also delivered me !
