No.751: "Crosby~Nash" by Crosby & Nash (2004)

David Crosby and Graham Nash teamed up as another combination of the evergreen C,S,N&Y combo to release this extensive double album of sweet harmonies and meaningful songwriting. All you could ask for on a warm summer's evening. This later live clip also features Stephen Stills.

Being in my early fifties I was buying Smash Hits and then Record Mirror for the little info I could get my hands on. A year or so later it was the NME, Sounds and Melody Maker. used to love looking at the charts and making my own lists, which is probably why I've done this one.

Pleased to see you're finding something of interest in this lengthy tome though, PS.

Re: Floydy's All-Time Top 1000 Favourite Albums

Interesting to observe just now that this thread made it into the forum's Hottest Threads of the Year block on the home page. Ninth place as of today.
I'm not chasing posts or anything but looking at this phenomenon, we could see us up near the top. A lot of threads - especially in the General section - come and go very quickly with many posts but they fizzle out usually within a week. As this thread is designed to probably hang around for another six months or so, we will probably hit the summit eventually.
Thanks in the main to you guys for your supportive posts also of course

Re: Floydy's All-Time Top 1000 Favourite Albums

It's an interesting thread. There's a lot I've not heard before and some I don't want to hear again

I actually walked out of a Joe Satriani concert, I couldn't take anymore.

I was at this concert, brilliant.

No.750: "Missing...Presumed Having A Good Time" by The Notting Hillbillies (1990)

In between his commitments to Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler took a break and assembled a very worthy quartet of country-blues musicians to form this laid-back album. It took off magnificently and they toured on and off throughout the nineties. This final track on the album is the rather apt, 'Feel Like Going Home':

No.749: "Suede" by Suede (1993)

One of the forerunners of the indie scene in the 1990's, Suede were one of the best at their game. Heavily Bowie-influenced, Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler are still going strong (in between solo projects). This early single is one of my favourites:

No.748: "Wheels Of Fire" by Cream (1968)

Third album from Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker's four-year reign as one of rock's truly greatest bands ever, Wheels Of Fire features some of their most famous songs including this classic:
