I always watch the news, but I won't be that day. I'll look at Teletext instead so I can pick out all the other stories except that one. Someone might have been murdered, but the royal wedding is far more important of course!

My batty friend Sue is coming to stay for the weekend and she's a royalist , she wore a tiara for the wedding of Kate and William while sitting alone in her lounge with a glass of prosecco so she said she's bringing it to wear for this one while we watch together . I like the royal weddings though , the dresses the pomp and ceremony and the history .

Only since Victorian times. Before that brides just wore their 'best' dress or favourite colour - often green as that was the colour of 'true love and fertility'.

Wearing their hair loose was a sign of 'maidenhood' - it had to be hidden after marriage under coifs etc.,

Whatever she wears I'm sure she'll look sensational. She has to be the most beautiful royal bride ever.

I'll probably be watching it if I've nothing to do on that day.

I love to see what the guests look like. You see some right sights - Princess Ann for one doesn't seem to have any dress sense...
