Wow! I can't believe you have the B-52s album. There is a long story about my friend Lisa and I sneaking into Max's in Kansas City to see her brother who was working there and hearing them play. We were blown away by Cindy and Kate's range and voices, but more by their Jetsons meet Beach Boys sound and their avant-garde look and how we went driving around with them in a Olds Delta '88 aircraft carrier going to thrift shops to look for then out-of-date mod clothes...and trying to find vegetarian food...

And how we took their album back to my college bar and it started a dance craze at the university...

Where we sold their album and jokingly swear we launched their US career....

but it's a long story indeed.

Not a lot actually, Ffosse, although I do like his music a lot.
We had 'New York' at No.771, one more to come (I think you know which one). There are also two Velvet Underground albums as well.

Even though there are a thousand albums, it's still surprising how few of each artist I could fit in. Not an easy task, but I had to remember the "IMO" bit, so as not to end up with an "expected" list, if you see my point

No.585: "Sheryl Crow" by Sheryl Crow (1996)


After the runaway success of debut Tuesday Night Music Club, singer-songwriter Crow came back with a more serious album entirely, judging from the dour and moody cover that is. Luckily, the music contained therein was just as fun lovin' and happy-gp-lucky as 'All I Wanna Do'.

This is the American release of the first album by The Yardbirds, released in 1965. With both Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck in their formulative youthful years, the band was sure to take off in a big way. We all know the title track of course so I'll post the second single from the album instead:
