Re: The Strange Case of the Russian Spy.

Hi

The normal procedure in these things is say nowt.

We would just expel X number of their diplomats.

It is beyond me why Boris feels the need to gob off.

The incident lead to A and E being shot down in Salisbury.

Boris has threatened Russia with retaliation.

His threat?

To pull England out of the World Cup in Russia.

I do not think Putin will be worried by that.

Up to this incident, no one had really heard of this guy or his daughter, but, in the papers today, there are (on the BBC papers review) a whole host of photo's of the lass, where did these come from?

If no one knew he was a spy, they do now.

Re: The Strange Case of the Russian Spy.

I don't think this man had any more secrets to tell, this attack is revenge plain and simple. I listened to an excerpt of a speech made by Putin on TV where he promised that people who were traitors would all die. I think he is sending a message to all spies. Putin is a very scary man.

Re: The Strange Case of the Russian Spy.

The police were calling for all people who had been in the vicinity to contact them, I'm glad I wasn't I'd be petrified thinking I'd been infected! Shows how easy it is to carry out these kinds of attacks, scary stuff

Re: The Strange Case of the Russian Spy.

Hi

Chemical Incidents are nasty things and can affect numbers of people.

Everybody in the restaurant could have been affected and certainly the staff in the ambulance and A and E.

ISIS have trained people in this.

Do not expect a rapid response from the Emergency Services.

Theresa May cut the number of decontamination units in the UK from 65 to 43 when she was Home Secretary, in 2016.

She had already slashed the number of specially trained staff.

Such is life,accountancy rules.

The important people are still protected,The Houses of Parliament , the rest of us have no such protection or response time.

She also announced the location of these Decontamination Units, not a good idea.
