Horror films

What's your favourite?

This is one of my favourites. I've just bought this again and haven't seen it for over 20 years. Gonna watch it right now in the dark:

Re: Horror films

oh man, I remember that movie Evil Dead, the first one, it terrified me, so did Texas Chainsaw Massacre and back in the day The Exorcist, played on my mind for months afterwards, some people have some very weird minds to be able to think up such things lol

They're not everybody's cup of tea, Mups. My wife hates them and won't go near them when they're on TV.
I have my own 'man cave' in the back room for stuff like this

Re: Horror films

I don't get scared by horror when it's all blood and gore
And I laughed through the Blair Witch Project
But those psychological thrillers give me the heebee geebees (sp?)
The Omen
The Exorcist
The Ring
That one with Julia Roberts being stalked by her ocd husband
And the one with a guy (the neighbour) hiding inside the walls of the woman's apartment

Scared witless I was

The Blair Witch Project was absolute rubbish, I really don't know what the hype was about, do you

The hype was to make people think it was a real film found on a real video camera.
That amateur, hand held, wobbly cinematography became a bit of a horror trend for a while

Carrie
Deliverance
Halloween (1978)

Re: Horror films

The Exorcist still gives me the willies. A very scary film. And Carrie too, it's just that look on Sissy Spacek's face that gives me the creeps.

Re: Horror films

Not into horror films but do enjoy Suspense films. Wait Until Dark with Audrey Hepburn was one of the great ones.
