I am prone to trapped nerves and such but I've had bad experiences with massage. Chiropracters are ok for bits and pieces but I'd never trust them with my neck. It's a complex area to treat. See your dentist first. Most people don't realise that the neck and back can hurt from a bad bite. May be worth trying a nightguard to see if it eases the symptoms. Posture is a balance which includes the teeth. As you age it can all go out of balance.Re: Trapped nerve.

carol I suffer with it all the time stiff neck pain goes into head as well -not everyday but most days' I have a problem tight muscle in the top shoulder 'Re: Trapped nerve.
