UJ, i'm having a lot of problems at the moment with my Diabetes and Insulin, and i'm getting really depressed about it all, anything that I eat my sugar levels seem to go sky high, I might starve myself tonight and it will probably still be high.v

Susie darlin' as you know I too am diabetic, but yet I eat cakes, biscuits, sweets, choccie biscuits, sweet puddings and all. My Doctors have prescribed METFORMIN for me and providing I take that regularly (every night) I'm fine. When I was first diagnosed I did ask about a home blood-sugar testing kit, but Doctor said no and wouldn't sanction the test strips, which apparently are fiercely expensive, so I have no idea how high or low my blood sugars levels are, apart from a yearly diabetic check. The last one was a few weeks ago and apparently my blood sugar reading was 42 (whatever that means).

Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

Yes Goldielocks, I do go to a Diabetic Clinic, they have changed my Insulin but it seems to be worst now.

UJ, your Diabetes is not as bad as mine, you are only on the Metformin tablets, I am Type I, Insulin dependant, I have to inject Insulin 3 times a day and take 4 Metformin tablets.
