These little upsets are sent from the almighty to test us Pug, and the best way to pass the test is to stay cool calm and collected at all times, just like you did, bravo, you passed.
Did it not say on the original instructions “Just add water?”PS. If I may suggest you lead a long rubber tube up to the roof and connect it to the tap, it would save you the bother of climbing a ladder every time you have to add water to the contraption.

And here’s the last one. Women trying to make you say something you don’t want to say by working on your emotions, and then when you say it and it’s not what they wanted to hear you are in big trouble, this is a very powerful weapon in their arsenal and not to be underestimated. I think the best thing to do here is to listen very intensively, whatever you do don’t be tempted to smile,( the chap in the picture is asking for trouble by smiling) keep looking very serious and say absolutely nothing until you are sure she’s finished, then, no matter what she said, it’s bound to be a sad tale anyway, you say “I know, it’s terrible isn’t it”, that’s all. say nothing else, continue to have a sad face on you, that way you are showing you sympathise with her problems but are not committing yourself to anything, always works, and they usually change the subject before long, because if they don’t they know the rest of the evening is doomed.

Ode to a Kindle by Mars Barr.It’s Winter time and the wind is howling, snow is on the ground
The dog’s asleep in his kennel, he makes not a sound
I’ve got my Kindle in my hand whilst lying on the bed
But my feet are getting itchy and I have to move my head
I scratch them hard until all the itching stops
Three pillows behind me, I use them all for props
My ear now feels funny, maybe the pillows are too tight
So I transfer to the other side and start lying on my right
Now where was I, chapter two of was it three?
No hassle there the kindle will mark it out for me
I read on and get stuck into the story
Horror at it’s best, with all the guts and gory.
I’m enjoying my Kindle, oh what bliss!
Good God, now I have to get off the bed and go out for a piss.
That’s one of the bogies of being old, two and three times a night, Winter and Summer, but it’s a small price to pay for not having to work anymore and having all your time to yourself to do what you like and write stupid poems, wouldn’t you agree.
