Misheard lyric ?

Was singing as I made breakfast to find everyone else laughing their heads off ! Apparently the prince song I've enjoyed for decades isn't little red courgette, it's not the veggie anthem I thought but about a car !

Anyone else cause of laughter to others ?

Re: Misheard lyric ?

Here's a couple I have mis-heard in the past:

'And you come to me on a submarine' - How deep is your love . BeeGees

'I'm thrown and overgrown with fleas' - There must be an angel. Eurythmics.

Re: Misheard lyric ?

My son at a very young age when leaving to go home after visiting his grandparents got very excited and kept saying "look, thereīs yon". We had no idea what he was talking about and kept asking who yon was and where was he, we couldnīt see anybody. He pointed to the sky where the north star was shining brightly and said, "there, look, thereīs yon". Heīd been learning Christmas carols at school, we eventually got the message. It was of course "we three kings", following yonder star.

Re: Misheard lyric ?

My older sister used to sing, "Gladly my cross-eyed bear" instead of "Gladly my cross I'd bear" in church. I'm glad I can't remember it!
